Our Carpet Cleaning Process

Our process for cleaning carpets is known in the industry as OPE (Oscillating Pad Extraction) carpet cleaning. This method of low moisture carpet cleaning is tried and true and has been utilized since the 1970's. We believe this to be the best low-moisture method available.

The first step in our process is to pre-spray 100% of the carpet to be cleaned with our safe non-toxic cleaning agent. We then place a round super absorbent extraction pad on the carpet.

A machine known as a Carpet Oscillator is set atop the extraction pad. This machine weighs in at just under 100 pounds, so it is a serious piece of equipment. We use the very best Carpet Oscillator money can buy! This machine provides the extraction pad with 80 rotations per minute and 1,725 oscillations per minute simultaneously. This scrubbing action provides you with a very thorough cleaning that is sure to get all the way down to the bottom of the carpet fiber and clean all sides of the fiber as well. This is especially important on frieze style carpets with their long fibers as well as tight knit berber. We use as many extraction pads as needed.

Every carpet is different depending on soil load. This is a true extraction process. We take the dirt with us. Many low-moisture systems use a hard bristle type machine that simply scrubs the soil loose and rely on the chemical to encapsulate the soil which later is vacuumed out by you the customer.

Don't confuse straight encapsulation cleaning or a cylindrical brush cleaning with pad extraction.

After the carpets are cleaned we post vacuum the carpets using a twin-motor pile lifter to groom the carpets as well as pick up any residual surface debris that may have vibrated to the carpet surface during the cleaning process such as small rocks or pet hair. This final step also helps facilitate a faster drying time.
